The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.

—Mark Twain

Christine Eghenian has over twenty-five years of experience in the mental health field and has worked extensively with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Her professional style is interactive and Rogerian, emphasizing compassion as much as insight, and she draws from an eclectic range of therapeutic modalities and teachings to address various issues in sessions (listed below are a few of these approaches). In addition, she worked for twenty-five years as a certified massage therapist, deepening her understanding of the body-mind connection. Though her approach is holistic, she has had the opportunity to confer with psychiatrists and has a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.

  • Transpersonal psychology emphasizes the transcendent and spiritual dimensions of being human.
